Northwest Roanoke shooting leaves two men injured
Roanoke, Virginia – Northwest Roanoke shooting left two persons injured on Friday night.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a crash around 8:36 p.m. in the 3400 block of Norway Avenue NW.
Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle crashed into a house with an apparently shot man inside. The man was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by the Roanoke Fire-EMS for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
When police arrived on the scene on Norway Avenue, they were informed that another man had been shot and had gone to Lewis Gale Hospital. According to police, both men are thought to have been hurt in the same event.
The incident occurred outside of a residence in the 300 block of Juniper Street NW, according to Roanoke Police.
At the time, authorities suspected the driver of the car attempted to flee the scene after being injured, which resulted in the crash. Both men knew each other.
At this moment, no arrests have been made in connection with this event, although the investigation is still ongoing. Additional suspects are not being sought by the police.
