Teenager arrested after Roanoke shooting
Roanoke, Virginia – After a shooting Saturday night, Adul-Aziz Yasin, 18, of Roanoke, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and stealing of a weapon from a person.
Yasin was arrested without incident on Tuesday, according to Roanoke Police.
Around 8 p.m. Saturday, police received a report about a person with a gunshot wound in the 500 block of 8th Street NW.
There were no victims or suspects at that site, according to the police.
A man with an apparent gunshot wound was discovered at the junction of 4th Street and Campbell Avenue SW a short time later, according to police.
The man was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with an injury that did not appear to be life-threatening.
