Roanoke County accident on Interstate 81 caused delays

Roanoke County, Virginia – On Friday afternoon, drivers headed northbound on Interstate 81 in Roanoke County were facing delays.
The north left shoulder has been blocked due to an accident around mile marker 144.7, near Roanoke exit 143.
VDOT reported that traffic backups were approximately 4.5 miles long as of 4:00 p.m.
