People could receive $200 gift card at vaccine event in Roanoke
Roanoke, Virginia – You might walk away $200 richer from a vaccination clinic in Roanoke.
The city of Roanoke is partnering with Alleghany Health Districts to host the event.
On Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., people can walk around downtown’s market, enjoy some community fun and food, and take a COVID vaccine shot.
Those who receive their first dosage will be placed into a lottery for a $200 gift card. The event will raffle off four gift cards in total.
“We think we have a lot of people out there that for just one reason or another have not taken the time to sit down and get the shot in their arm. We are hoping that having some incentives will encourage people who just haven’t made the time to do it,” Communications Officer for the health district Christie Wills said.
Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be offered.
