Main Street returned to two-ways traffic
Lynchburg, Virginia – One Lynchburg traffic pattern has been changed after decades.
Main Street has returned to two-way traffic in some areas.
This comes after years of the street being one-way only.
The adjustment, according to city officials, will help revitalize the downtown area.
“I’m so pleased that something as simple as the direction of travel on Main Street can go such a long way to bring energy back to downtown and spark new ways in which we can all live, work and play together in Lynchburg,” interim city manager, Reid Wodicka said.
In the next months, more improvements to downtown traffic are expected.
