Virginia Tech game in ACC basketball tournament moved up Thursday due to cancellation of Duke game
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced that the Virginia Tech game in the ACC men’s basketball tournament quarterfinals has been moved up Thursday night due to the cancellation of the Duke game.
The ACC says the Duke vs. Florida State game was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, but it was canceled because of a positive test, subsequent quarantining, and contact tracing within the Duke men’s basketball program.
According to the ACC, with the cancellation of the Duke game, Florida State will advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals and play the winner of the North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech game, which will now start at 8:30 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. on ESPN.
