VDH: 685 new COVID-19 cases; over 11,000 total hospitalizations reported as of Saturday
RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia health officials reported 685 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new virus-related deaths as of Saturday, which brings the Commonwealth’s total coronavirus count up to 669,904 confirmed and probable cases and 11,008 confirmed and probable fatalities.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) confirmed 521,485 cases and 9,288 deaths are related to the virus as of Saturday, May 15. However, 148,419 cases and 1,720 deaths are still reported as “probable.”
Due to site maintenance on VDH’s website, we have not been given statistical information that we can update. When maintenance has been completed, we anticipate being able to update this story with detailed stats on the day’s numbers for each locality.
