Two new bike attractions added at Explore park
Roanoke, Virginia – New additions were added this weekend at the largest park in Roanoke County.
Explore Park hosted opening celebrations for two new mountain bike attractions on Saturday. One of them is Blue Ridge Bike Center which include new trails designed to serve as a starting point for amateurs.
The other one, Voyager trail, took more than 800 hours of work to be build. It it an advanced trail made specifically for mountain biking.
”I can’t begin to thank all the volunteers who came out here to make this possible. If it weren’t for their help, coming out here throughout the winter on cold days, wet days, rainy days, this trail wouldn’t have happened,” Blue Ridge Off-Road Cyclists President Stuart Lamanna said.
In the next few years additional phases will be added in the center.
