Three law enforcement officers are honored by the Lynchburg Optimist Club
Lynchburg, Virginia – Three law enforcement officers were recognized by the Optimist Club of Lynchburg for their efforts to community safety. Emergency service members dedicate their lives to helping others.
According to you, such emergency services may not always have the finest public image, whether that is accurate or not. The Vice Chair of the Optimist Club stated, “It is, you know, good to actually show that they are there working their hardest.”
As the Emergency Communications Officer of the Year, Lynchburg resident Carlie Padgett understands what it takes to be of service to her community.
Since I live in a city, I am both a citizen and an employee of the city. Therefore, ensuring that we offer the highest caliber of service is always our aim,” she stated.
Padgett’s supervisor discussed how he, Jalani Brooks, and a Lynchburg Police Department detective have shown numerous service-oriented traits. According to program head Matt Marsteller, a lot of cops take calls.
He stated, “That stuff happens every day.” “There are a lot of officers, emergency communications officers, and firefighters who perform that work on a daily basis.”
Johnson claims that it gives people comfort to know that there are those who go above and above the call of duty, such as those honored at this event.
“Being in Lynchburg makes me feel even more secure because, you know, regardless of who answers the phone, I know that they will do everything in their power to ensure my safety as a citizen.”
According to Padgett’s boss, receiving this award is an achievement for her, but it also demonstrates the commitment to service shown by every department.
