Roanoke Police identified remains of missing woman with dementia
ROANOKE, Va. – UPDATE: (May 4, 2021)
The search for Harriet Hodges has sadly ended after the Roanoke Police Department announced Tuesday that her body has been found.
On Saturday at about 12:15 p.m., police said they were notified that a female body was found inside a building in the 2200 block of Sherwood Ave SW.
Authorities said that upon seeing the body, there were no apparent signs of trauma or foul play.
Police transported the body to the Medical Examiner’s Office where officials confirmed it was Harriet Hodges.

Roanoke Police are asking for your help in finding a missing senior.
81-year-old Harriet Hodges was last seen at her home in the 2200 block of Windsor Avenue SW on Friday.
Police said she was last seen wearing white pants and a purple jacket and usually walks around with a cane.
Due to her having dementia, authorities want to get her home as soon as possible.
They ask that anyone who has seen Harriet or has any information on her whereabouts calls 911.
