Roanoke crews headed to help flooded Hurley
Roanoke, Virginia – A regional swift water team is on its way to western Virginia to assist with the flooding there.
Roanoke Fire-EMS, which is part of the Virginia Department of Emergency Management’s Region 6 Swift Water Team, is departing for Hurley on Monday afternoon.
Hurley is located in Buchanan County, near the state borders of Kentucky and West Virginia.
Personnel from Roanoke Fire-EMS, Roanoke County Fire & Rescue, and Salem Fire & EMS form the Region 6 Swift Water Team.
