Pound man accused of shooting police chief extradited to Virginia
Norton, Virginia – The suspect in the shooting of Norton Police Chief James Lane has been extradited back to Virginia.
He is being held in the Southwest Regional Jail in Duffield without bond.
James Buckland’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
The 35-year-old Buckland is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and attempted capital murder of a police officer
