Police investigating a shooting on Melrose Ave. that left one seriously injured
Roanoke, Virginia – A shooting that occurred early Sunday morning is being investigated by Roanoke Police.
An individual with a gunshot wound near the 4100 block of Melrose Avenue NW was reported to police at 2:30 a.m.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a car parked on the side of the road at the junction of Comer Street and Melrose Avenue NW.
Man with gunshot wound was found in the vehicle by law enforcement as well.
The man was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Roanoke Fire-EMS.
There are few details regarding the circumstances that led up to the shooting. There were no suspects found on the scene, and no arrests were made.
Investigation is ongoing.
