Community gathered at Love SE Fest in Roanoke
Roanoke, Virginia – Community will be gathered at the neighborhood festival in Roanoke.
Kids are drawing positive messages in southeast Roanoke on the sidewalks to mark the start off of the week of Love SE Fest.
In order to foster interaction with neighbors, a Roanoke family who has lived in the area for eight years will be serving lemonade at their yard sale.
Later this week, Deel’s family will take part in a community clean-up and help mowing lawns.
“You know for our family community is important because it’s where we live and where we work and where we play. The more people you know I think the better off we all are,” said Beth Deel.
There will be food donation collections and free sweet snacks throughout the week, and even a glow-in-the-dark party on Saturday at Belmont Park.
The calendar of events can be found on LOVE SE Fest Facebook page.
