Campbell Co. woman accused in the death of a 3-year-old boy now facing murder charge
CAMPBELL Co., Va. — A Campbell County woman charged in connection to the death of a three-year-old boy is now facing a murder charge.
Authorities said Ian Berger died in September 2020 from injuries sustained by his caregiver and father’s former girlfriend Megan Paris.
Campbell County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul McAndrews said Paris was indicted on one count of first-degree murder by a grand jury on Monday.
Paris is also charged with one count of child abuse and neglect and one count of aggravated malicious wounding.
McAndrews said a jury trial is set for October.
