Brandon Avenue Safety Improvements project underway
Roanoke, Virginia – The Transportation Division is working to create a Safety Improvements project along Brandon Avenue in accordance with the City’s Complete Streets Policy.
Brandon Avenue between Colonial and Brambleton Avenue will be milled and overlaid in June as part of the FY21 Annual Paving Program.
New traffic lane markings will include not just vehicular travel lanes in each direction, but also a center turn lane, buffered bike lanes in each direction, and pedestrian crossing enhancements after the new asphalt is placed.
