Officer on administrative leave after firing shot in apartment
Roanoke County, Virginia – After firing a shot inside an apartment on Saturday, a Roanoke County Police officer was placed on administrative leave.
Officers responded to a call of a domestic incident at Sunhaven Court apartment. After the arrival, officers noticed that a man was holding a gun while his wife was trying to take it from his hands.
During an argument with the man, one of the police officers fired a shot, which luckily didn’t injured anyone.
The man was first taken to a local hospital for mental health evaluation and then taken into custody.
After the incident, the police officer was put on administrative leave.
