More than 53 million to travel for the holidays
The holidays are almost approaching, and many people will be flying or traveling by road to spend time with their loved ones.
The American Automobile Association has released its Thanksgiving holiday predictions. Thanksgiving travel statistics might be up 13% from last year, according to the motor club, with 53.4 million people likely to travel. Air travel has recovered the most since the pandemic, with an increase of 80% in the last year.
“This Thanksgiving, travel will look a lot different than last year. Now that the borders are open and new health and safety guidelines are in place, travel is once again high on the list for Americans who are ready to reunite with their loved ones for the holiday,” said Paula Twidale, senior vice president, AAA Travel.
