Health experts say families are safe as long as they celebrate Halloween outdoors
As Covid-19 cases are starting to show some downtrend, health experts across the U.S. say people can feel safe for Halloween this years as long as they are trick-or-treating outdoors, especially for those who are immunized already.
Dr. Fauci said in an interview that families should enjoy this year’s holiday especially because it is the most important time of the year for the kids.
If individuals want to celebrate Halloween on Oct. 31, he suggested, they should consider getting the vaccinations if they haven’t already.
So far, 19 vaccinations for people aged 12 and up have been authorized. Pfizer’s request for emergency use authorization of its vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 will be discussed at a meeting scheduled for late October by the Food and Drug Administration.
Every day, around 95,000 new COVID-19 cases are reported across the country. According to Fauci, Covid-19 cases are decreasing and that is great news but warned against announcing victory too soon because cases had previously bounced back.
